1. Preface. Visual communication has for a long time been one of the most powerful and effective ways for humans to share ideas and deliver messages.

Visual communication can often be more effective than language itself. One strong image should be able to convey the message behind it in an immediate, concise and intuitive manner, which transcends the limits that are inherent to language.

This is why in these days of ever growing pressure on the environment and Earth’s natural resources, the work of nature and wildlife photographers is so critical to raise the level of people’s awareness, on the one hand, of the beauty and importance of wilderness areas and wildlife diversity and, on the other hand, of the challenges that nature and wildlife are facing all over the world.

2. My Photography.  My photography has been inspired by the amazing work produced by certain masters of nature photography whose imagery made me decide to try give my own contribution to such noble a cause.

Through my photography I strive to show the multifaceted beauty of nature in those moments when everything comes together to contribute to the creation of a memorable image.

In this context, there are two bodies of work that I am particularly fond of: one revolves around my fascination for interesting skies, which I often photograph in changing weather conditions and dramatic light. The other is my attempt to translate certain principles of human portraiture to my animal portraits, whereby I strive to produce images that capture a glimpse of the “inner soul” of my subject and solicit an emotional reaction from the viewer.

3. To Sum It All Up.  Quoting Greek philosopher Zeno (335 - 264 BC): “All things are parts of one single system, which is called Nature; the individual life is good when it is in harmony with Nature”.
